Why Branch Out?

Most art classes teach children how to copy. At Branch Out Art Studio, we teach them how to create. Our sessions are built around small groups, real artistic guidance, inspiring studio spaces, and plenty of room to experiment, make a mess, and try again. It’s this balance of skill-building and creative freedom that makes Branch Out different and why young artists leave glowing with confidence, new friendships, fresh ideas, and artwork they’re proud to take home.

● Our Mission & Philosophy

Our Principles

Done is Better than Perfect

Growth happens when children feel safe to try. We celebrate experimentation, persistence and brave ideas. Building resilience, creative thinking and the confidence to trust their instincts.

Making Made Accessible

Choose 1:1 or small group sessions, book casually or enrol for the term. However you join us, your child receives personalised guidance, skill development and space to grow.

Artists at the Helm

Students learn from a practising artist, building technique, creative thinking and strong foundations in expression through art theory and hands-on making.

Foundations That Last

Every artwork reflects real learning. Through exploring line, colour and ideas, children build focus, problem-solving skills and confident creative voice.

● Our Story

Meet Caroline

Hi, I’m Caroline and I’ve been privileged to teach Art in primary school for some decades. I am a creative, resourceful and adventurous grandmother, mother, teacher and favourite Auntie. I love to be inventive, whether I’m sewing, cooking or making art. Singing, reading, gardening, kayaking, dancing, games and all things puzzles also help to keep me busy.

Branch Out Art Studio was born because I know how vital and super important Art is for kids! I appreciate that the creative journey can sometimes feel challenging, but view these moments as a natural part of learning and growing. With support, children can fully enjoy the artistic process, feel proud of their achievements, and develop skills and creative tools that will serve them well into the future.

My philosophy is simple: to engage, inspire and teach with age-appropriate techniques and subjects.
